
NTSE is the most prestigious national scholarship program. It is a two-tier examination: tier 1 is conducted by State Board in the month of November every year. The official notification by most States has already been announced and the registrations for the examination have been started. The main purpose of the tier-1 exam is to identify talented students who would compete in the tier -2 exam. 2000 candidates who manage to clear both the exams will be selected and awarded with the scholarship.
NTSE Important Dates
NTSE Stage I 2019-2020 Exam for Mizoram, Meghalaya, Nagaland, and Andaman & Nicobar Island will be conducted on 02 November 2019 (Saturday).
NTSE Stage I 2019-2020 Exam for all other States and Union Territories except above and below mentioned 9 States/UTs will be conducted on 03 November 2019 (Sunday).
NTSE Stage I 2019-2020 Exam for Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, NCT of Delhi, and Jammu and Kashmir 17 November 2019 (Sunday).
NTSE Stage II 2019-2020 Exam (National) of all States and Union Territories will be conducted on 10 May 2020 (Sunday).

Instructions
The application should be signed by the Principal of the school. Student and well as Principal must adhere to the last date for submission of the application form.
Candidates must remit the fee with the application form if mentioned by the States/UTs.
Candidates must also attach all the attested documents mentioned underneath along with the documents specified in the application form:
- Passport-sized photograph
- Caste certificate for SC/ST/OBC non-creamy layer/EWS
Fill in the Application Form in Uppercase (Capital Letters) only.
Examination Pattern
Stage examination at the State/UTs level will comprise of two papers:
Mental Ability Test(MAT) which may consist of multiple-choice questions testing verbal and non-verbal meta-cognitive abilities like reasoning and c critical thinking. The questions in the test may be on analogy, classification, numerical series, pattern perception, hidden figure, etc.
Scholastic Ability Test(SAT) which may consist of multiple-choice questions covering subjects namely, Science, Social studies, and Mathematics covering the syllabus as taught in Class 9 and 10.
