Not to lose Motivation during Your IIT-JEE Preparation

Hard work cannot be replaced, can it? And the only choice that is left, especially when exams are on the horizon, is to ‘revise and revise’. Despite the fact that the countdown has already begun for the most significant Engineering entrance exam of 2023, with the Mains exam first attempt scheduled for January, it is all the more important to make every effort.

Whenever you feel demotivated, remind yourself that the JEE preparation process is the same for all candidates. Identify the actual issue that is preventing you from progressing. Plan the best strategy for maximizing your time and effort.

Here are the points which will keep you motivated:

1) Understand the IIT JEE exam format: You can study the exam format and do a thorough analysis to get the outcomes you want.

2) Do not push yourself all the time: Don’t push yourself to adopt a demanding habit, such as forcing yourself to get up early. Continue with your night studying if that’s your routine.

3) Learn from Others’ Mistakes: Discuss with the seniors how they prepared for the exam and what mistakes they made. Listen and learn from their mistakes so that you never repeat the same things.

4) Be in good company: Both positive and negative energy can be contagious, so avoid negative energy. Make sure to surround yourself with independent, strong-willed people, and you’ll discover that their presence alone is enough to inspire you.

5) Think of a Larger Picture: It goes without saying that while preparing for a demanding exam like JEE, you would eventually feel tired and irritated as the syllabus is vast as well as challenging. Your imagination enters the picture at that point. Imagine yourself being accepted to IIT, your dream school. It will definitely help you.

6) Spend Time with Your Family: Even though you spend the day studying at home, you are still apart from your loved ones. You will feel energized if you spend time with your family, or just eat meals with them. Talk about your issues and inform your parents about your day.

7) Treat Yourself Every Day: Set daily objectives. You may finish a particular topic or work through a number of difficult issues every day.

Reward yourself with small pleasures when you reach your goal. Ice cream or 30 minutes of your favorite sitcom are both acceptable options.

Bottom Line

An exam like JEE demands persistence, dedication, and determination to succeed.

Remember the famous quote by Dr APJ Abdul Kalam - “You have to dream before your dreams can come true.”
