  • A simple transparent ballpoint pen.

  • A printed copy of the Admit Card along with the Self Declaration (Undertaking) downloaded from the NTA Website (a clear printout on A4 size paper) duly filled in.

  • One passport-size photograph (identical to the one uploaded on the Online Application Form) for affixing on the designated space in the Attendance Sheet at the Centre during the examination.

  • Any one of the authorised photo IDs (original, valid, and non-expired) – School Identity Card, PAN card, Driving License, Voter ID, Passport, Aadhaar Card (With photograph), E-Aadhaar with photograph, Ration Card with photograph, Class 12 Board Admit Card with photograph, Bank Passbook with Photograph.

  • PwD certificate issued by the authorised medical officer, if claiming relaxation under the PwD category, or PwD Certificate regarding physical limitation in an examination to write as per Annexures given in the Information Bulletin, if claiming relaxation under the PwD category.

Dress Code to follow in Exam

Strict adherence to the prescribed dress code is essential to avoid any inconvenience on the exam day. The recommended attire for JEE Main includes:

  • Comfortable Clothing: Opt for light and comfortable attire suitable for the prevailing weather conditions. Avoid clothing with excessive pockets.

  • Footwear: Select comfortable footwear without thick soles or heels.

  • Accessories: Refrain from wearing jewellery, watches, or any other accessories to streamline the security check process.

  • Headgear: Religious headwear is permissible but subject to thorough inspection.

Prohibited Items at Examination Hall

Certain items are strictly prohibited inside the examination hall. Ensure you do not carry:

  • Electronic devices such as mobile phones, calculators, smartwatches, etc.

  • Stationery items like pens, pencils, geometry boxes, or any form of paper.

  • Bags, wallets, or any other items are not explicitly allowed.
