Multiple Choice Questions

If a Multiple Choice Question has four options, full marks of +4 will be awarded if only the correct options are chosen. A partial mark of +3 will be awarded if all four options are correct but only three are chosen, +2 if three or more options are correct but only two are chosen, and +1 if two or more options are correct but only one is chosen. Zero marks will be given if none of the options are chosen, and a negative mark of -2 will be given in all other cases.

Eligibility Criteria for IIT JEE Advanced 2023

Before applying for JEE Advanced 2023, candidates must ensure that they meet the eligibility criteria, which include the following:

  • Nationality: Only Indian nationals are eligible to apply, while foreign candidates can apply under the 10% Supernumerary Quota.

  • Age Limit: General and OBC category students must have been born on or after October 1, 1998. SC/ST/PwD candidates are given a relaxation of five years in age.

  • Academic Qualification: Candidates must have passed their Class XII exams in either 2022 or 2023 for the first time.

  • Subjects: Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics must be mandatory subjects in Class XII.

  • Number of Attempts: Candidates can attempt JEE Advanced twice in two consecutive years.

  • JEE Main Performance: To be eligible for JEE Advanced 2023, candidates must rank among the top 2.5 lakh JEE Main rankings.
